Right2Grow took a special seat at the World Water Week as we showed a new way to navigate the waters.
In partnership with Sanitation and Water for All (SWA), we convened a session on locally and globally led initiatives to improve people’s access to WASH. Right2Grow representatives shared best practices of locally led multi-sectoral approaches and showed the audiences-both live and virtual, the value of having local realities lead the way forward. Insights from the SWA 2022 Sector Ministers' Meeting indicated how civil society can present locally informed evidences to their government officials for increased accountability and enhanced alignment between sectors.
The communities most affected by the water and food crises should be in the drivers' seat. They are best placed to voice their needs and solutions for water-related challenges, now and for future generations. This should lead the way forward to the #UNWaterConference2023 and accelerate #agenda2030.
