Mali: Civil society actors in the Kayes Region trained on the links between climate change, WASH, nutrition and food security

From 26 to 27 August 2021, Right2Grow held the regional training workshop on climate change, WASH, nutrition and food security in Kayes, Mali. This activity was attended by the Mayors of eight municipalities supported by Right2Grow in the region, civil society organizations, technical services of the State and the local press including Kayes TV.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Aminata Coulibaly, nutritionist at the Clinic for Innovation and Knowledge Management (CIGC) in Bamako and Mr. Amadou Soumaila Diarra, Training Officer at the Regional Directorate of Agriculture (DRA). The objective was to highlight the correlation between climate change, WASH, nutrition and food security in the intervention area (Kayes and Bafoulabé circles) in order to strengthen Right2Grow's advocacy. Several presentations on climate change, WASH, nutrition and food security were addressed with group work that helped build the capacity of participants on the causes, consequences and measures of adaptation and mitigation against the adverse effects of climate change. Together let's fight against climate change in the world. Every action counts!
